A parent or guardian submits the athlete’s name, age, sport, and contact details. The campaign page shows eligibility, cost, capacity, and the signup deadline. The participating dental practice confirms eligibility and schedules the scan; families receive appointment details before they travel.

Complete a quick scan

Bring the athlete and a parent or guardian to the listed practice. The digital scan takes about one minute. Tell the dental team about braces or fit concerns.

The digital scan is used to make a personalized guard. Typical turnaround is about two weeks from the completed scan.

Which athletes can participate?

Each local program sets its age and sport eligibility. Programs can include athletes across all sports, with football or another group highlighted in outreach.

What does the family pay?

The participating practice or sponsor sets the local offer. The campaign page states the exact price, or confirms that it is free, before a parent registers.

How long does the scan take?

About one minute. The participating practice confirms the appointment time with the parent before the family comes in.

How long until the guard is ready?

Typical production is about two weeks after the scan. The local practice tells the parent when the guard is ready for pickup.

Where do we pick up the guard?

At a participating dental practice. The athlete should try it on at pickup and tell the dental team if the fit needs attention.

Does my child need an impression kit?

No. In the dentist-scan version, the participating dental practice completes the digital scan.

Can my child participate if they have braces?

Tell the participating dental practice when you register. The practice will confirm whether the guard is appropriate for your athlete before scheduling the scan.

When can I register?

Registration opens when the participating practice and community partners confirm launch dates, available appointments, eligibility, family offer, and capacity. The local campaign then displays the active registration link.
